I was hired by Oskar & Gaspar as the art director for this event, which was organized by GR8 Events. My role involved coordinating 3D and 2D artists to create animations for the walls and the main screen. The event was divided into multiple moments, each with its own unique visual atmosphere. PROCESS
We researched visual references and defined a clear artistic direction for the animations. The goal was to create a smooth blend between digital visuals and the physical space.
The event was divided into multiple moments: the guest entry, three dining moments for dessert, fish, and meat, a musical moment and a history moment. Each dining moment had its own visual theme, designed to match the experience.
MY ROLE
As the Art Director I guided the team of motion designers 3D and 2D artists to bring the event’s visuals to life. Since I know the tools and have used them before it was easier for me to communicate with the team. I could give clear direction solve problems quickly and make sure everything looked and worked as planned. My focus was not just on the creative vision but also on making the whole process smooth and efficient.

Entry animation
For the entry animation, we kept it simple but impactful, featuring the event logo moving across the walls and the LED screen. The main goal was to surprise guests with the content that followed, so we added interesting details to give the animation a modern and engaging feel.
"Water" Theme
For the fish course, we chose "water" as the theme and created an immersive aquarium. The looping animation featured sharks, schools of fish, and flowing water, bringing depth and movement to the scene. This calm yet dynamic atmosphere complemented the delicate flavors of the dish.
"Earth" Theme
For the meat course, we explored the theme of "earth" with a forest setting. The animation featured foxes and plants, creating a lively yet serene atmosphere. Subtle movements brought the scene to life, adding warmth and a natural feel. This theme complemented the rich, comforting flavors of the dish.
"Air" Theme
For the dessert course, we chose the theme of "air" to symbolize lightness and freshness. The animation featured drifting clouds, gentle breezes, and floating particles, creating a sense of weightlessness. Soft tones and fluid movements reflected the delicate nature of the dessert. This airy, elegant atmosphere contrasted with the previous themes and enhanced the refreshing flavors of the dish.
Musical Moment
The event also included a musical moment, offering guests a fun, interactive karaoke experience. We created an animation of "Multinho," the event's icon, dancing to the rhythm of the song on the walls and screen. The lively animation added a playful element, encouraging guests to sing along and fully engage with the moment.
History Moment: SIBS Milestones
A key moment of the event was a visual journey through SIBS' major milestones. We used a dynamic timeline to highlight achievements like the launch of Multibanco, the growth of MB WAY, and SIBS’ impact on digital payments in Portugal. The animations brought each milestone to life, showcasing the company’s evolution and innovation in an engaging way. It was a moment to celebrate SIBS' journey and its ongoing influence.
